Super Visa vs. Single Trip Plan

Super Visa

May stay up to 2 Years without need to renew their status after every 6 months and up to 10 Years stay in Canada.

Be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
Insurance requirement of Minimum Sum Insured limit of $100,000
To have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is:
- 1. Valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry
- 2. At least $100,000 coverage
- 3. Have proof that the medical insurance has been paid (quotes aren’t accepted)

Single Trip

Most Visitors get visa for 6 months and they need to renew after 6 months may get up to 10 years multiple entry

Minimum Sum Insured limit of $25,000 and no minimum Trip Duration

Have a valid travel document, like a passport
Be in good health
Have no criminal or immigration-related convictions
Convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit
